Jen asked: I’ve been thinking about taking out a small personal loan to pay off my 3 credit cards and my 2 department store cards. do you think it’s a good idea to do so? would it just be wise to continue paying off my credit cards monthly? it’s just a thought that came in my head and was just wondering if anyone else has ever taken out a personal loan to do so.

Jessica B asked: My brother-in-law took out a home equity loan and he went to refinance his house and for whatever reason the house did not appraise for what it needed to partly because of the home equity loan that he already had. He was told to pay off his home equity loan and come back to refinance his house. Is there anyway that he can change his home equity loan to a personal loan? Or would that even help? please help. thanks.

Nidwal asked: Hi..I’m 19 years old and I need a fast loan. My credit score is in the 700. Right now I don’t work and is currently staying home with parent enjoying the summer. In a couple of weeks I should have a job and should be getting around $800 to $1000 a month. The loan amount that I’m interest is about 15K. I really just need about 12k but just in case. I have Bank of America as my local bank right now.
After telling me what banks look for when applying for a personal loan, can you also recommend suggestions to what banks I should look for to get this fast loan?
I need the money for college stuff like a laptop that cost $3K…etc… New clothes…apartment….travel…etc..

flori0009 asked: I have years of excellent on-time rental history, however I have no credit because I’ve never been in debt (always pay bills on time) go figure. I was wondering which credit cards I could apply for, for the first time. Wal-Mart Credit card rejected me because I have no credit, and I’m just looking for something small so I can put things on the card and pay them off quickly to establish some sort of credit. Any suggestions?
